I cannot stress the importance of posing.  Posing is just as important as completing all your workouts, eating clean, and selecting the perfect suit.  There is nothing more disappointing then to see a woman who has worked her butt off in the gym, brings a rocking package to the stage only to flounder due to lack of preparation and practice of her posing routine.  It is my genuine belief that my posing alone has helped me win competitions.  I’ve beat out some of my fiercest competitors by only a point, and I know it wasn’t my physique, but my presentation—my posing. 

Judges in order to separate the greatest from the pack of the best, it can literally down to posing -- down to the centimeter—the most minute of details.  Don’t let your posing routine be your downfall—let it make you SHINE! 

Posing is your 10-15 seconds to show all your months of hard work and dedication off.  Take it seriously, but have fun.
  • Sign-up for a one-on-one with me or check the event calendar to see when the next group posing workshop is being held.
    • Most individuals need several sessions with a coach to feel comfortable and confident.  Your coach should be able to explain prejudging, comparisons, the diagonal, individual posing, night show, and overalls.  Getting all this information will help you feel confident come competition day.
  • Checkout the ‘Posing Experience’ Video
  • Begin posing 8-12 weeks out from your first competition.  Begin no later than 6 weeks out—you will have major regrets if you do.  Start ASAP!
  • Practice in your heels -- preferably like the ones you'll be wearing on stage
  • Have a separate pair of heels for practice and competition day
  • Practice posing daily for 15 minutes OR set aside 30-60 minutes 2-4x a week. 
  • When training at home, I like to practice my posing in between sets
  • Always have a refresher session with your coach before every competition to ensure you're on point!
