‘D’ building block is in alignment with the feet in order to represent the importance of a strong and sturdy foundation of sound nutrition.
Rather than taking the top-down approach, M.E.S.H.E.D. begins with the foundation. A solid foundation is absolutely crucial for sustained success and lifelong health. The foundation of M.E.S.H.E.D. is a healthy Diet or in other words, good nutrition. Regardless of your fitness goal, nutrition is paramount to your success. It is said that nutrition accounts for 70-90% of one’s health and fitness related success. Have you ever seen someone bust their butts at the gym for several weeks, even months, with little to no success or change in body composition? The likely culprit is poor nutritional choices. Here at M.E.S.H.E.D., we offer EVERY client nutritional support regardless the monetary investment, as our mission is to see every client succeed and gain RESULTS! We know that without proper nutrition, our work together as coach and client can be greatly hindered—wasting precious time and money.
M.E.S.H.E.D. offers varying levels of nutritional support. The degree of support is dependent on individual needs and accountability. We offer nutrition and supplementation education, recipes, and teach easy to incorporate behavior change techniques that will leave every client feeling EMPOWERED to make the right nutrition choices for themselves in every situation. We strive to EMPOWER each individual so we focus on behavior change. We also offer one-on-one nutrition coaching, which will help lay a solid foundation for those who want or require additional support.

‘E’ building block is in alignment with the legs because what makes us special as humans is our bipedal movement (movement by means of 'two legs/feet'). Bipedalism is not unique to humans, but no one does it better than us! Most of our day-to-day, functional activities use a great deal of strength from large muscle groups found in our lower extremities such as glutes (butt), quads (front of thigh), hamstrings (back of thigh), and calves.
This is where most people start when they are looking to improve their health and fitness – they incorporate an exercise plan. M.E.S.H.E.D. focuses on improving functional strength with a strong emphasis placed on developing the CORE & GLUTE MUSCULATURE . Thus, the use of machinery will be greatly limited and only used in specific cases or under special circumstances, such as Contest Prep Training (add link).

Believe it or not, social support is one of the STRONGEST predictors of exercise adherence. Here at M.E.S.H.E.D. we offer every client the support they need. Your M.E.S.H.E.D. Lifestyle Fitness Coach will be there to encourage and support you throughout everyday of your journey – YES – everyday, even on non-workout days. Every client has the opportunity to have their very own webpage in which they can communicate daily with other M.E.S.H.E.D. clients, as well as their coach on a daily basis. Share ideas, ask questions, motivate others, and get motivation from others – we’re here to support one another through this journey.
M.E.S.H.E.D. also offers ‘Support Saturdays’ *(sometimes Sundays depending on group needs and schedules). This is a time where M.E.S.H.E.D. clients, DIVAs and coaches come together to do something fun – sometimes fitness related, sometimes not. This is an opportunity to stay connected and get additional support. Also the planned activities are super fun and help to build that ‘Super Support Culture’ that M.E.S.H.E.D. is very proud of.

This piece brings all of the elements together because with a calm mind and body, one is able to connect more deeply with themselves on an intellectual and spiritual level. This will allow one to handle stress more efficiently, and sleep better among other things. Lower levels of stress and adequate sleep have been shown to have vast improvements on one’s health and fitness levels. Sleep helps not only our minds recover from the day, but it is also essential for recovery of our physical body – muscles and joints. Sleep and recovery is when our body makes adaptations and changes produced by exercise, so it is absolutely imperative to have great relaxation techniques that one can employ throughout their journey to ensure healthy stress and sleep levels.
